Established in 2014, we are a  family run business helping parents support their children prepare for 11+ secondary transfer and common entrance exams.

 

Supporting over 500 students each year  we offer a range of services and are currently looking for qualified teachers to help deliver our structured 11+ programme of study in Verbal Reasoning and Maths to Year 4 and Year 5 students.

With the increased pressure on school places, demand has grown so we are actively recrWith uiting teachers to work with students both online and in small groups of children in the Watford area.

 

While our aim is to help students and their families prepare for the secondary transfer exams, we also strive to help develop children’s wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem. Our ethos and approach is that of care and nurturing which is encapsulated in our mantra “When a helping hand is all you need”.

 

We are looking for qualified teachers who support this approach.

 

About you

  • Experienced KS2 teacher (ideally)
  • Qualified QTS certificate
  • Hold full enhanced DBS check
  • Be aware of (be trained in) child safeguarding requirements and protocols.

 

Role / Responsibilities

  • Follow structured programme of study, refining to meet the needs of students.
  • Prepare lesson plans and resources ahead of lessons.
  • Deliver  quality lessons, online, face to face to small groups or After School classes.
  • Work alongside a TA (where applicable)
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, identify areas to improve and develop.
  • Communicate with parents, face to face, and via follow up emails.
  • Be familiar with solutions to aid delivery of lessons such as interactive boards /screens, MS Office  or similar.
  • Be familiar with online solutions such as Google meets, ZOOM or similar.

 

Training  &  Support

You  will be given induction training on our approach and provided with a resource pack. 

We will provide training on solutions to aid delivery. (Where required)

You will be mentored by a tutor and supported by an experienced tutor assistant.  (TA)

 

Opportunities

Being part of the team, you will have the opportunity to get involved in MTT events. MTT host over 50 events every year, offering students  the  experience to sit mock tests, attend workshops, summer school and  other  entrance exams.
